AkzoNobel Pakistan Ltd., sustaining its name as global paints and coatings company, has teamed up with Akwaht to support the education of underprivileged youth in Pakistan. The signing ceremony was held at Akhuwat University. It was attended by Mr. Mubassher Omar, Chief Executive Officer of AkzoNobel Pakistan Limited and Dr. Amjad Saqib, founder of the Akhuwat.
For AkzoNobel, sustainable business means putting people and communities in Pakistan first. Through this latest social partnership, AkzoNobel Pakistan has joined Akhuwat University on a mission to empower deserving students with quality education. Utilizing the positive impact of paint, AkzoNobel has generously donated over 3,400 liters worth $14,500 to help improve the learning environment.

Akhuwat University, which is currently under construction, will be the first of its kind: A No Fee Residential University where students from all over Pakistan will be selected based on merit and be afforded a free quality education. The purpose of the Akhuwat university is to provide quality higher education to young people who are financially unable to afford it and enable a sound future.
