The OnePlus 10 Pro, which debuted in China in January, will make its global debut on March 31. The smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, and OnePlus took to its forums just before its international launch to discuss how the flagship will provide efficient performance with its hardware and software. However, one of the most intriguing details revealed by OnePlus is the charging speed of the 10 Pro, which may disappoint fans in North America.

OnePlus revealed that the 10 Pro’s global model, like its Chinese counterpart, will support 80W wired charging, charging the 5,000 mAh battery from 1% to 100% in 32 minutes. However, in terms of international markets, these speeds will be limited to Europe and India, with units in North America only reaching 65W.

According to OnePlus, this is due to the fact that “80W SUPERVOOC does not currently support 110 or 120-volt AC power – the typical standard for power outlets in the region.”

The phone manufacturer does not specify how much extra time the OnePlus 10 Pro will require for a full charge with 65W SuperVooc, but it does state that the smartphone will charge from 0% to 100% in 47 minutes with 50W wireless charging in all regions. We’ll hopefully learn more about this at the March 31 event. In the meantime, you can read the full post by OnePlus here.
