AMD appears to be already making room for its upcoming enthusiast Ryzen Threadripper family of processors and X399 platform. The new high-end desktop CPUs will launch with massive new socket dubbed TR4. The AMD’s enthusiast lineup of Ryzen CPUs will support 16 cores, 32 threads and it will also feature support for quad channel DDR4 memory and 64 PCIe Gen3 lanes.
AMD Ryzen 7 CPU Prices Drop By Up To 23% Ahead Of Threadripper Launch
The new platform is scheduled to be launch “this summer”. Whenever that’s going to be exactly that is still unknown, but the launch date is nearing as AMD and has already taken action of its current Ryzen 7 lineup to make some room for its new platform. AMD has cut down the price tags on its three Ryzen 7 processors including Ryzen 1800X, 1700X and 1700 processors.
Ryzen Threadripper can now readily found on Amazon and Newegg for as low as $455, $349 and $299 Respectively. Brand new 1800X can found for as little as $429 on eBay, and brand new 1700X boxes can found for as low as $309. That’s a 14% price cut to 1800X compared to its $499 launch MSRP and a big price cut of 23% to 1700X compared to its $399 launch MSRP.
