We can now officially confirm specifications of three AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors. The series includes Ryzen Threadripper 1950X, 1920X and 1900X. The 1950X will feature 16 cores and will be the flagship model, the 1920X features 12 cores and 1900X features 8 cores. AMD’s been fighting with Intel to get market shares and they are taking it to next level with lower pricing and offering higher scores and better I/O for much cheaper prices.
AMD will be pitting their Ryzen Threadripper 1950X a $999 US processor against $999 US chip Core i9-7900X. The Ryzen Threadripper 1920X is also compared to Core i9-7920X as AMD chip offers better value.

The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X is flagship chip of Threadripper series X399 family. This chip feature 16 cores, 32 threads. Clocks are maintained at 3.4 GHz base and 4.0 GHz boost with XFR technology that should help it gain more performance when needed. This chip will carry 32 MB L3 cache and 8MB of L2 cache which totals 40 MB. There will be a total of 64 PCIe lanes available on a processor of which 60 can be used by discrete graphic cards and PCIe NVMe storage devices.

This chip features a clock speed of 3.5 GHz base and 4.0 GHz boost. Keeping things in line and if chip comes with same die configuration as 1950X we will have 32MB of L3 cache and 6MB L2 cache which is 38MB of total cache size. The chip will feature the same amount of PCIe lanes as the 1950X.

Latest chip in the lineup is Ryzen Threadripper 1900X which feature 8 cores and 16 threads. The chip features clock speeds of 3.8 GHz base and 4.0 GHz boost. Not only the speed of this chip is higher than Ryzen 7 1800X but it grants access to more feature such as higher PCIe lanes, quad channel DDR4 memory lanes and more I/O support.
The Ryzen Threadripper 1900X will feature 64 PCIe lanes and the TDP will probably remain set at 180W. The total cache will be 20 MB (16 L3 + 4 L2) which is 5% higher than the comparative 7820X processor.
