Android 12L Beta 2 has become available for the Lenovo Tab P12 Pro

Google announced Android 12L in October, and its Beta 2 build was released over two weeks ago for eligible Pixel devices. It is now available for the Lenovo Tab P12 Pro as well.

9to5Google reports that Lenovo‘s Android 12L Beta 2 update raises the Android security patch level on the Tab P12 Pro to December 2021. Still, we can’t find any mention of it on its website.

Lenovo hasn’t shared any Android 12L release notes for the Tab P12 Pro at the time of writing, and the software limitations listed on its website remain unchanged from the previous beta, implying that these issues haven’t been resolved.

Download the 1.7GB Android 12L Beta 2 update package from the link given at the bottom of this article and flash it to the Tab P12 Pro. Installation instructions are also available. Keep in mind that the build only supports the Wi-Fi version of the Tab P12 Pro that is available outside of China under the model number TB-Q706F.

Also, keep in mind that beta builds frequently contain bugs that degrade the user experience, so the Android 12L Beta 2 should be avoided if your Lenovo Tab P12 Pro is your primary device.

Google will release Android 12L Beta 3 in February, with the final build arriving before April. It is yet to be seen even if the Tab P12 Pro will receive the third Android 12L beta or if Lenovo will skip straight to the final release.
