Recently, Apple has released latest iOS 11.2.1 for iPhone and iPad, but in the last week, it was reported that there is a  serious security vulnerability in the HomeKit.

The bug was first identified by a well-known new agency known as 9to5mac, according to reports the bug allows unauthorized users to have access to the connected devices such as lights, thermostats, locks and garage door openers.

Apple performed the server side fix of the issue that resolves some issues but it disabled shared access to all of the shared/mutual users.

According to the iOS 11.2.1 update, “it fixes bugs including an issue that could disable remote access to shared users of the Home app.” Meanwhile, Apple has released tvOS 11.2.1 for its Apple TV users and it seems that it is quite similar to the same issue.
