The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a very portable device – its display measures 13.4 inches, and the body of the slate is only 12 mm (0.47 inches) thick. It can be easily stowed in your backpack and is always ready to play. And while it’s pretty petite, it has a lot of firepowers.

Asus has opted for the Intel Core i9-12900H processor, officially announced today. It has different cores, including 6 performance and 8 efficient cores, and an integrated Intel Xe GPU with 96 execution units. There are also options with an i7-12700H and an i5-12500H.

You can configure the tablet with fast DDR5 RAM (up to 16 GB, 5,200 MHz) and PCIe 4.0 storage (up to 1 TB).
Last year, the actual graphics power came from the Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti. It has 2,560 CUDA cores and 4 GB of GDDR6 video memory (128-bit bus). The Core i9 has a TDP of 45W, the 3050 Ti goes up to 40W, so that’s a lot of heat.

However, since the components are arranged vertically (not on the floor like a laptop), Asus says, the cooling system can blow much air over them. If you don’t need that much graphics power, you can choose a slate with an RTX 3050 or even one based entirely on the Intel GPU (this is suitable for use with an eGPU dock).
