Chinese retailer JingDong Mall, which claims that despite earlier rumors of a June unveiling, the OnePlus 6 will make its debut in Shenzhen on 5 May at 2 pm. OnePlus has yet to confirm the leak, so we’d take this with a pinch of salt for now.
OnePlus 6 Launch Date Could be May 5 in China; Overseas Debut Speculated as April End
This leak is originating from China and Shenzhen will host this event at 2 PM local time, the image is from Chinese online retailer known for introducing upcoming devices.
The OnePlus 6 will adopt a display notch which is confirmed by Carl Pei, OnePlus CEO. At the start of this year, OnePlus CEO Carl Pei had claimed that the OnePlus 6 will be debuting at the end of Q2. Hence, early rumors had suggested that the OnePlus 6 may launch in June this year. There is a leaked photo of the front which clearly shows a notch houses a selfie camera, LED notification light and the earpiece and bezels which appear quite thin.
