Many Chinese smartphone vendors are in the process to for establishing a consortium to invest in AMOLED production during the current year because Apple is likely to end up monopolizing panel deliveries with upcoming iPhones.
According to Chinese media, Oppo, Vivo, Huawei, and BBK will cooperate with panel maker for making an investment in AMOLED.

Royole has decided to increase its AMOLED capacity up to 45,000 units during the year 2017 and an extended production program for the year 2018.
BBK’s independent subsidiary will focus on panel production to hit 60,000 unit AMOLED capacity from 2017 – 2019.
