But what really sets the T700 apart is its incredible rated speed of 12.4 GB/s for sequential reads and 11.8 GB/s for sequential writes. That’s right, and you heard it correctly – 12.4 GB/s. Compare that to the competition, which often maxes out at 10 GB/s read and 9.5 GB/s write speeds, and you’ll see why the T700 is the clear winner.

Compatibility and Security

The Crucial T700 PCIe Gen5 SSD is compatible with Intel 13th Gen and AMD Ryzen 7000 series CPUs, with backward compatibility in Gen3 and Gen4 systems. It is built with Micron 232-layer TLC NAND and features hardware encryption for storage security with TCG Opal 2.01.

Heatsink Design

The Crucial T700 PCIe Gen5 SSD will soon hit the market, giving users the option to choose between a non-heatsink and heatsink version. The good news is that both options have ditched the active-fan cooler, which means you won’t have to put up with any extra noise when using the drive.
