As the launch of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 draws near, online IT retailer Connection has listed the first custom models by MSI, with preliminary prices starting at $823 US. While the Founders Edition and Reference AIC variants of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 have an MSRP of $599 US, custom models will come at a premium.
Preliminary Prices Listed
Connection listed three MSI variants of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070, including the MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ventus 2X 12G OC priced at $823 US (G4070V2X12C), the MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ventus 3X 12G OC priced at $865.45 US (G4070V3X12C), and the MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Gaming X Trio 12G priced at $915.61 US (G4070GXT12). Australian retailers have also listed two PNY models: a dual fan (VCG407012DFXPB1) and an XLR8 (VCG407012TFXXPB1).

While these prices are preliminary, they are lower than the prices of MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming X Trio. However, most AIBs are expected to have models that retail at $599 US, and these prices are simply a case of early listing. The prices at launch and the availability of the new cards will ultimately matter.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 targets the mainstream high-end segment, and there is no next-gen GPU in a similar price category at the moment. As a result, the graphics card is expected to be in high demand. Once RTX 4070 becomes available, we will make sure to include it in our Bottleneck calculator tool.
