The Sierra EV will be introduced in 2024 as a single Denali Edition 1 trim level. It will have a powerful engine with two electric motors and a slew of standard features. Additional trim levels will be offered for the 2025 model year.
For the first year of the Sierra EV’s manufacturing run, just the Denali Edition 1 will be available, and it’s a costly beast with all the luxury features and capabilities we’d expect from a modern pickup truck. GMC stated that base vehicles would start at $50,000.
GMC Sierra EV Efficiency
The Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 will come standard with a powerful electric drivetrain that includes front and rear electric motors. GMC boasts that this big truck’s 754 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque can propel it from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The Hummer EV has a feature called “crab walk,” which lets the back wheels move in the same direction as the front wheels to move the car diagonally. This feature will also be in the Sierra. The truck can be raised and lowered using the air suspension. The Sierra will have many drive modes that change how the car acts, as well as a one-pedal mode that uses regenerative braking to quickly slow down the truck when the accelerator is taken away.
