About Lotus Eletre R 2022

According to Top Gear, the 600-horsepower Lotus Eletre unveiled this week is only the entry-level model of Lotus’ SUV; a 900-horsepower flagship model will be available in a couple of years. The top-tier Eletre will be able to achieve a 0-60 mph sprint in under three seconds thanks to the addition of a second 300 hp electric motor mounted on the rear axle.

Except for a few street-legal Lotus models, all have followed the same formula for light, simple sports cars. As a result, it is not an exaggeration to describe the recently revealed Eletre, a high-performance electric SUV, as a revolutionary departure for the Chinese-owned British brand.

Even though Volvo and Polestar are all owned by the same company, the Eletre production model looks nothing like either Volvo or Polestar. Lotus architecture, on which the finished vehicle is built, is more advanced than any of its relatives’ foundations, with a new aluminum and high tensile steel structure and an 800-volt battery pack.
