About Toyota bZ3 2022

Toyota unveiled the bZ3 sedan for 2023 this year, an electric vehicle developed in collaboration with Tesla’s main competitor, BYD. This came after Toyota announced the bZ4X SUV in 2018. The new electric sedan from Toyota China is a bit longer and narrower than the Model 3, and it was built around powertrain parts like batteries and motors.

Although the official price of the Toyota bZ3 has not been announced, the company has stated that two models are available, one with a 49.92 kWh phosphate battery that can travel 321 miles on a single charge and the other with a 65.28 kWh battery that can travel 616 km on the same charge by China’s localized CLTC testing standard.

The Toyota bZ3 is expected to start at $28,000, which is significantly less than the Model 3’s starting price in China. This is because the sedan is only available in RWD with a single electric motor, the output of which differentiates the two trim levels (135 kW and 180 kW). Toyota’s new electric sedan, the bZ3, was made in collaboration with BYD and FAW Toyota. It is built on the e-TNGA platform, which is the company’s new electric vehicle architecture.

Toyota said that it used its many years of experience making hybrid electric vehicles to develop ideas like regenerative braking to make a car that uses less gas and puts out less pollution. The bZ3 can travel 373 miles on a single charge using BYD’s LFP batteries, which have a blade design that improves endurance and safety. The bZ3 warranty is likely to be as generous as the battery life expectancy, which is 90% after 10 years of use.
