Facebook debuts Lasso, a TikTok-style video app aimed at teens

Just to attract more users especially the young generation who just prefer other social media platforms over Facebook.

Facebook launches Lasso app to rival TikTok

Facebook think tank just came again with an idea of introducing a TikTok clone and named itas Lasso. Lasso is known to be a music-filled sharing app, which is reportedly under progress since last month and is now available for the iOS and Android users.

 According to Facebook Lasso is an app that “makes it easy for anyone to create and share short videos with fun effects.”

Through this app, the users can be able to follow other creators, can search for contents by using hashtags and can be able to develop new content and short videos via a suite of creative tools.

The social media giant also highlighted that the app includes”a massive music library” which allows it to take a shot at TikTok, an app that is famous for lip sync videos.

Lasso

As Lasso is being owned by Facebook, so it is integrated into the company’s ecosystem, therefore, you can sign in using your Facebook or an Instagram account or you can create a new account if you do not have any.

The app will need to access your profile page, videos and photos as well. Whenever you will make any of your own videos on Lasso, you can also be able to share them directly with your Facebook story.

Later this year, a compatibility version for Instagram will be released, through which you can be able to perform similar things.

Facebook has released Lasso today and it is already filled with the content, the app is still in testing phase so a small number of users might be able to a user it for now.
