The Galaxy S8 and S8+ and Galaxy Note 9 have the “Infinity Display” that made an enormous change in smartphones display. However, these three devices were also criticised for having lousy placement of fingerprint sensor.
The Galaxy S9 announcement may fix the issue. It is expected that we could see an end to this little gripe as Samsung has filed a patent in which small but accurate fingerprint sensor could integrate on front-side.
The Fingerprint sensor could be Small Notch at the front of Galaxy S9
The patent filed with Kipris, a South Korean trademarking company is to believed then the S9 might feature different design options. The fingerprint sensor could be taken from the rear side and placed at front with flagship featuring small depression to make way for this security feature.
The company will be aiming to reduce the bezel percentage on both Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ with a more substantial battery and better performance.
Samsung will have to try harder to achieve the degree of accuracy and a small notch in both flagships. The future consumers will be looking forward to it.
According to WCCFTECH
An in-display fingerprint reader will not be seen as an option because the technology will not have been developed in time. Samsung has been rumored to be working on this technology for the Galaxy Note 9, so the Galaxy S9 will possibly be left out.
What do you think will Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will get the onscreen fingerprint sensor?
