It is reported that Higher Education Commission (HEC) has suspended four universities from recruiting new students. These universities have been located in multiple cities across the country.
Here are the four universities that are suspended:
- Al-Khair University, Azad Jammu & Kashmir
- Global Institute, Lahore
- Imperial College of Business Studies, Lahore
- Preston Institute of Management Sciences and Technology (PIMSAT), Karachi
HEC’s Director General issued official notifications on Social media, advertising the suspension of universities. In the notifications, Students are advised not to take admission in the universities and look for alternatives.
According to the notification:
The Higher Education Commission advises students not to seek admission in the above mentioned institutions or institutes claiming to be associated with them as admissions in these institutes and their affiliates are suspended due to irregularities and mismanagement discovered in their operations.
HEC stated that the Degrees from these universities/institutes or any other campuses/branches associated with these universities will not be recognized by HEC.

A new government group was stabilized named as “Educational Testing Council”, according to which new Undergraduate Entry Test should be held for students who are seeking for admissions after their HSSC exams.
In the beginning of a current month, Dates for the test were announced. Last date for application was 12th July which was then extended to 17th July for accommodating more admissions.
