To Make a folder, you’ll need at least two apps to put into the folder. Figure out which two you want to use.

Step-3: Now drag the app on top of the second app, It’ll start merging into the second one. Now lift your finger off the screen and you’re done creating a folder.

Step-4: If you want to add more apps into the same folder follow “Step-2” and “Step-3” again.

Step-5: Now comes the part of renaming the folder, simply tap on the name of your folder and type name through the keyboard.

Step-6: When you are done changing the name of the folder and adding apps into a folder. Press the Home button or Swipe up from bottom on iPhone X, iPhone Xs, and iPhone Xs Max. This will save the changes made earlier on your iPhone.

How Folder Names Are Suggested in iPhone

When you drag the first app on top of second iPhone assigns the folder a name based on the category of apps or game. Let’s say app come from Games category of App Store the suggested name of the folder will be… Yes, you guessed it right, It will be “Games”.

How to Add Folders to the iPhone Dock

The four apps across the bottom of the iPhone live in what’s called the dock. You can add folders to the dock if you want. To do that:

Step-1: Move one of the available apps from dock area of iPhone by dragging it to the main area of the home screen.

Step-2: Drag the folder into the space you freed in “Step-1”.

Sometimes we add an app or game in a particular folder and later on think it shouldn’t be in this folder in such cases follow these steps to remove apps from folders in iPhone:

Step-1: Tap and hold on the folder you want to remove an app from.

Step-2: When the apps and folders start shaking lift off your finger from the screen.

Step-3: Tap on the drag out the app from the folder onto the home screen of your iPhone.

Step-4: Press the Home button to save changes.

Step-1: Tap and hold folder until it starts shaking then lift off your finger.
