So we are going to start fixing the error known as “unable to connect to proxy server” so carefully follow the steps as mentioned. Oh! i just forgot to tell you that there are many ways to solve this issue but i am going to share the most common two
Fixing with Method 1:
First Step:
Open Internet Explorer, click on “gear icon” and then “Internet Options“.
or
Open “Control Panel” and Click on “Internet Options” in small icon view.
or
Type “Internet Options” in search bar.
Second Step:
Open the Connections tab, then LAN settings, check “Automatically detect settings” and uncheck “Use a proxy server for your LAN”.
Third Step:
Reload or open any webpage and check if proxy server error is shown or not? If after rebooting error is still present go for method two.
Fixing with Method 2:
First Step:
Reboot your PC in Safe mode (restart your PC and press F8 in start and select Safe Mood from options).
Second Step:
Open RUN command Hold ‘Windows key’ and press ‘R’ (Windows Key + R) type “regedit” and tap/press OK.
Open registry files of “Internet Options”
HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > Current Version > Internet settings
Fourth Step:
Delete the files mentioned below:
- Migrate Proxy
- Proxy Server
- Proxy Override
- Proxy Enable
Now just reboot your PC and follow all steps of ‘Fixing with Method 1‘. Reload or open any page and check I bet “Unable to Connect to Proxy Server Error” is fixed.
