Jazz consumers are now able to purchase apps and make in-app purchases from Google Play using their Jazz Balance or Post Paid Bill (for postpaid customers). It is direct carrier billing service and activated automatically when SIM is being used in any Android device.
There are two scenarios, for Prepaid customers charges will be deducted at the time of purchase and for Prepaid consumers, the amount of purchase will be added into their monthly bills.
“We are always looking to facilitate our customers with the latest digital offerings. Direct carrier billing provides a safe and convenient way of paying for purchases made on Google Play,” Jazz Head of Marketing, Kazim Mujtaba.
During the first session of Jazz Carrier Billing and Payment for Google Play, users should try to buy when connected on Jazz’s 3G/4G network for verification and authentication purposes.
Once the first time setup is completed, customers can download the app of their own choice over a WiFi connection and even through Jazz Internet.
For postpaid users limit is set to Rs. 2,000 per month and there will be no additional fees for using Carrier Billing Service.
