Leaked Screenshots of the Saints Row Reboot Show Off Realistic New Environments

by Farhan Yousaf

The Saints Row games have always been a lot of fun, but they haven’t always been the best examples of technical innovation. For instance, the first Saints Row game was essentially a Grand Theft Auto clone. However, the new Saints Row game is a significant departure from the older games in the series, and it represents an important step forward for the franchise.

The new Saints Row game features an open world that is twice as large as the one in the previous game, and it also features a much more detailed and realistic graphics engine. The game also includes several new gameplay features, such as superpowers and vehicles that can be ridden on water. These new features make the game much more fun than the older games in the series.

How Realistic Are Saints Row Reboot Graphics?

As for the new Saints Row, the cartoony style of previous games has been replaced by more grounded and realistic looks. A year of additional polish delayed the game from its original release date last year, but it now appears like the wait was worthwhile.

Though he has since removed the images from his ArtStation account, Volition senior environmental artist Tim Wasson recently submitted a series of Saints Row-themed images on his account. The game takes place in and around a hypothetical South-West US locale. These images show off the game’s desert environments, which feature stunning levels of detail and cutting-edge lighting. See yourself in the gallery below.

It appears to be in good condition. This kind of fidelity may not be what Saints Row fans are asking for in the next game, but if you’re striving for greater realism, you might as well aim for the moon. Haven’t you been keeping up with the latest Saints Row installment?
