LG released several teasers to build up hype for its upcoming flagship and some of the smartphone’s specs which are already known. A new report b SemiAccurate confirms the fact that G6 won’t come with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 821 SoC.
The reports reveal a confidential slide from LG taken during CES 17 which was held last month the slide include some specs of upcoming G6 that it will be feature 5.7-inch Full HD display, fingerprint sensor mounted on rear and Quad DAC in a certain region.
According to rumors, the smartphone will have IP68 water and dust proofing certification. The slide also confirms that LG G6 will be powered by Qualcomm’s MSM8996AC chipset Snapdragon 821 SoC.
The G6 will be announced on February 26
Last year’s flagship processor featured in flagships and high-end smartphones well it will have improved battery and less power consumption compared to Snapdragon 820.
Samsung will have dibs on initial production on Snapdragon 835 in its upcoming flagship Galaxy S8. The LG will be announcing G6 later this month on 26th of Feb and phone will be available for sale in March. If LG had waited for Snapdragon 835 to be made available to other makers it will be launched in May or early June. Which means that phone will have to compete directly against Galaxy S8
However, it is also reported that LG G6 will hit stores in South Korea at least six weeks earlier than Galaxy S8. LG is betting that it would give boost in initial sales
