Apple has announced its iPad even on 30th of October where it announced new MacBook Air and 2018 Mac Mini. While MacBook Air 2018 has variations in design, Mac Mini 2018 received a major boost in specifications. A recent benchmark leak of Mac Mini appeared on Geekbench ahead of its official launch date that is November 7. So Without wasting further time let’s dig deeper into the details of new Mac Mini 2018.

First Mac Mini 2018 Benchmarks Surfaces and It Beats Almost Every Current Gen Mac

As we mention earlier first Geekbench 4 benchmark for Mac Mini 2018 has appeared online. It was tested by VentureBeat and was equipped with quad-core 3.2GHz Core i7. This device featured an upgrade 32 GB RAM. Even the RAM doesn’t have an extreme impact on scores, and you would be amazed to compare its result with other Macs available.

You can see the results of Benchmarks in the screenshot above it shows a single-core score of 5512 & multi-core score of 23516. If we compare the Mac Mini 2018’s single-core benchmark score with every current generation it beats all Mac except 4.2GHz Quad-Core iMac. The multicore score put the Mac Mini in range of mid-configuration of latest generation Mac Pro with 8 Cores and clock speed of 3.0GHz.

“The first Geekbench result is the strongest, showing a single-core score of 5512, which eclipses all Mac models save for the latest four-core 4.2GHz iMac, plus a multi-core score of 23516. This multi-core number would place the Mac mini at the same general performance level as a mid-range configuration of the Intel Xeon-based Mac Pro, which runs eight cores at 3.0GHz. Apple’s higher-end 12-core Mac Pro and four separate configurations of the iMac Pro all easily outperform the Mac mini, albeit at much higher prices.”

The 12-core Mac Pro and iMac Pro beat the 2018 Mac Mini but they are way more expensive compared to it. However, if you are comparing a machine with the latest generation MacBook Air 2018, the Mac Mini is a powerful machine.

You can consider Geekbench score may be tempered easily and they might not be telling the entire story of Mac Mini 2018’s performance. But, must remember more Mac Mini benchmarks are on its way in future and this is not the last Benchmark.

This is all for now, buddies. What are your thoughts on the 2018 Mac mini benchmarks?.
