According to the Apple analyst, the new MacBook Pro 14.1 inch would have higher contrast ratios, wide colour ranges, and other image quality boosts. Although the analyst did not give away too many details, the new product will have an upgraded scissor-switch Magic Keyboard and other improvisations compared to the MacBook Pro 16-inch.

In a recent research note, Kuo predicted the release dates, stating that Apple will be releasing these products sometime in 2020. He did not say anything specific regarding the release date of the new MacBook Pro 14.1 inch, but it is most likely to be launched in the fourth quarter of this year or the first quarter of 2021. Though there have been doubts regarding the future of the product, the analyst has assured an update.

According to Kuo, Apple has switched to mini-LED instead of OLED as the advancement offers numerous benefits like localized dimming and a vast colour extent. The mini-LED is rumour to have thinner panels which are more power-efficient, thus saving the screens from OLED burn-in.
