Last month noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo tipped of Apple’s upcoming 2021 MacBook Air and 13″ MacBook Pro will debut with mini LED displays and M1 chipsets. Today We are getting more details on all new 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pros that said to bring major redesigns.

Kuo shares that new top-end models is going to feature old fashion sqaurer cut design on top and bottom halves which seems natural evolution of 2018 iPad Pro and in iPhone 12 industrial design.

Cut to chase

  • Sqaurer Cut Design like iPhone 12.
  • Major redesign in design.
  • OLED Touch Bar will be removed.
  • Ports section to be bit wider.
  • No mention of LED displays yet.

Both models are said to bringing back MagSafe charging connector last seen in 2017 non-Retina MacBook Air.

OLED Touch Bar will be removed altogether with new models having physical function keys instead.

The ports selection is said to be bit wider this time around as compared to past MacBook users with having to carry around dongles.

As expected, Apple designed Arm silicon processors will be the only option for the new MacBooks. The new models will use a kind of similar heat sink system as of current 16-inch model specifically for optimal thermal management. We’ve not noticed any mention regarding new 14” and 16” MacBook Pros will come with mini LED displays.
