The window seat of Airplane has amazing views, the aisle seat provide an easy access to those views and the new design will give the middle seat the elbow room.
This seating concept would transform the middle seat into something travelers don’t have to fear, this seating plan will provide extra two inch space to the worst spot. It will also speed up the process of getting and landing from the plane.
Side-Slip Seat is developed by Hank Scott of Molon Labe Design, which will improve an aisle seat that slides on the top of the middle seat to create more space during boarding. This aisle is double that the normal size and, when boarding continues the seat slides back over and lock into its position.
The center seat is set lower and will provide a few inches back. This confound seating will make typing, eating and even just existing on Airplane more comfortable.
It is just an idea for now, but Scott is working with the National Institute for Aviation Research to get the certificate to use this seating plan in commercial aircraft.
I don’t know whether the side-slip is reality in future or not but, there is no solution for getting past the sleeping passenger when you need to escape to the restroom.
