MK1’s system requirements are humble compared to Street Fighter 6 by CAPCOM. MK1’s minimum specs need a weaker AMD GPU (RX 470, not RX 580) and simpler Intel CPUs for both minimum and recommended setups. Mortal Kombat 1 needs 40GB more storage than CAPCOM’s fighting game.

MK 1, reimagined by Fire God Liu Kang, offers fresh takes on iconic characters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, and more. NetherRealm Studios has also introduced a new roster of “partner characters” called Kameo Fighters, who will aid the main characters during matches, expanding the gameplay options available to players.

New modes, improved fighting system, and rollback netcode for online play will feature in the game. Expect the comeback of the lauded story mode with unexpected turns on age-old feuds.

Pre-ordering Mortal Kombat 1 grants beta access, exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X. NetherRealm Studios handles PlayStation and Xbox MK1, QLOC manages the PC version, and Shiver Entertainment and Sabre Interactive work on the Nintendo Switch port.

Mortal Kombat 1 drops on September 18, 2023, with early access for pre-orderers of the special editions on September 14. As the launch nears, enthusiasts can eagerly await diving into the exhilarating realm of Mortal Kombat anew.
