NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 officially launches at $70 US – Single Slot Designs, Army of Low Profile
1030 is based on Pascal GP108 GPU it is next addition in Pascal GeForce 10 family. There is nothing much spectacular in terms of performance but the price is a most important factor. The graphics chipset which is its direct competitor as stated by NVIDIA in several slides. This card comes in surprisingly distinct form factors ranging by NVIDIA in several slides. The card is active cooled half-length models.
In terms of PCB the card sports a 2 phase design that will be enough for a low-end card. In terms of display I/O, the card features a single DVI and HDMI 2.0b port. There is no power connector on board since this card feature TDP of 30Watts. While variants of this card use PCIe 3.0 x8 link few cards would be available with PCIe 3.0 x4 interface. There are several cards clocking beyond 1500MHz in terms of boost frequency such EVGA’s GeForce GT1030 SC passive low profile.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 Specifications Detailed – 384 CUDA Cores, 2GB GDDR5, 64-bit Bus and a 30W TDP
NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 is based on Pascal architecture utilizing GP108 GPU. It may be based on a same 16nm FinFET process which is utilized by other Pascal architecture. It is a low-end solution and it will act as GT 930 / GT 730 successor. The pricing of the card is set at $70 US which puts it in the same league as Radeon RX 550.
