NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and 4060 graphics cards are the most recent addition to the RTX 40 series. These will be available in stores by the end of May 2023, around the same time as Computex 2023. So far, here’s what we know.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Release Date

The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will likely hit retail shelves by the end of May. According to a leaked NDA brief from NVIDIA to board partners. The standard NVIDIA RTX 4060 is still listed as “TBD,”. This means it could launch in May or move up a month to June due to the current low demand for graphics cards.

NVIDIA is taking its time finalizing the pricing strategy for the new graphics cards. This is understandable, given AMD’s failure to announce or launch its mainstream cards. Rumors suggest that the budget-tier Radeon RX 7600 series will be on display at Computex 2023.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Specifications

The new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will come with a smaller version of the AD106 graphics chip called the AD106-350-A1 GPU core. It’s expected to have 34 SMs or 4352 CUDA cores, with 8 GB GDDR6 memory that runs at 18 Gbps through a 128-bit bus interface, providing a bandwidth of 288 GB/s. This GPU also has a 32 MB L2 cache, which is eight times larger than the one in the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.

The PG190 SKU 361 PCB will be used in the graphics card. The reference Founders Edition uses the standard 16-Pin 12VHPWR connector. According to leaked PCB images, custom models will be able to use either standard 8-pin connectors or the newer 16-pin plugs. The 8-pin connectors are much cheaper. So that should be the goal if AIBs want to maximize the production value of their designs. The TDP of the card will be between 150-160W, approximately 25% lower than its predecessor, the RTX 3060 Ti.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Specifications

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 is a graphics card designed for mainstream users. This offers considerable power, though not quite as much as the more advanced Ti variant. With the AD107-400-A1 GPU, the RTX 4060 has 3072 CUDA cores and 8 GB of GDDR6 memory, capable of running at speeds of 18 Gbps across a 128-bit bus interface, which is still quite impressive.

The upcoming RTX 4060 graphics card will have a 35% lower TDP compared to its predecessor, the RTX 3060 12 GB. Leaked information also indicates that the RTX 4060 will use the PG173 SKU 371 PCB design. Most reference AIC boards likely use this. The TDP of the RTX 4060 is between 110W and 115W. Which, as a result, makes it a more energy and cost-effective option for gamers.

RTX 4060 or RTX 4060 Ti Price

NVIDIA has not revealed any pricing information for the RTX 4060 or RTX 4060 Ti graphics cards. Yet, it’s worth noting that these two cards use less power than the rest of the RTX 40 series GPUs. As a result, they will most likely be less expensive when the other line models are released.

Board partners have reportedly received NVIDIA’s embargo schedule, indicating that the RTX 4060 Ti will hit retail shelves by the end of May. However, the launch date for the RTX 4060 is still unknown, and we may have to wait until June to get our hands on it.

What Does This Mean for Gamers?

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti will tempt gamers looking to upgrade their systems. NVIDIA’s RTX 4060 Ti is a more powerful option for gamers who demand the best gaming performance. Meanwhile, the RTX 4060 should be a more affordable option for those looking for high performance.

Both cards have a lower TDP, which means they will use less power and run cooler. which is always a plus for gamers who want to keep their systems running.
