The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, set to be released in China on August 16. The 150W SuperVOOC S charging feature is making it unique among other releases in coming months. According to OnePlus, this charging technology is 99% efficient and can fully charge the phone’s 5,000mAh battery in just 17 minutes.
Developed in-house by OnePlus, SuperVOOC S was designed to be gentle on the battery, with the phone boasting a battery life of at least 4 years. This means the battery will retain at least 80% of its original capacity after four years of usage.
To achieve this fast charging speed, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will come with a 150W GaN charger and a USB C-to-C cable. In addition to the SuperVOOC S mode, this charger can also output 45W using the USB Power Delivery standard. This makes Ace 2 Pro compatible with other portable devices such as laptops.
What sets the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro apart is its support for the UFCP protocol. This phone is the first OnePlus phone to do so. Developed by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology in collaboration with Oppo, vivo, Xiaomi, and Huawei, UFCS aims to bring compatibility between different brands’ proprietary fast charging technologies.
More details about the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro are expected to be revealed on the company’s Weibo account in the coming days. The official unveiling of the phone is scheduled for next week on Wednesday.
