According to well-known leaker Tom Henderson, PlayStation 5 Pro is in development. Developers are likely to receive Dev Kits soon.

In March, Henderson reported that Sony is developing a PS5 Pro model like the PS4 Pro. There’s anticipation that the PS5 Pro will launch at the year-end of 2024. He also claimed that Sony is working on other new hardware, including the Q-Lite and a PS5 Slim model.

In a recent article, Henderson asserts that the PlayStation 5 Pro is “100%” in development at Sony. Dev kits for the Pro model will likely sent to first-party studios within the next few months. Third-party developers will receive the kits later in the year. The release timeframe remains unchanged in the fourth quarter of 2023.

As with any leaks and rumors, taking this information with caution is important. However, Henderson has proven reliable in the past. Sony has not confirmed any of this new PlayStation hardware.

Sony announced the PlayStation 4 Pro model in 2016, three years after the release of the standard PS4 model. The current PlayStation 5 models, both digital and disc versions, were released in November 2020.

If Sony releases a PS5 Pro model, what kind of hardware and specs will it have, and how will it be priced? Share your thoughts in the comments below. Stay tuned for updates on the rumored PS5 Pro.
