PTCL sets a new record for blood donation

Blood donation campaign PTCL was initialized on 3rd November 2017 and initially the target was set to get 5,000 oints of blood but after two weeks the company has been able to get more than 5,000 pints of blood.

This campaign was launched across all the cities of the company and now PTCL has joined hands with several other blood donor agencies and made a contract to donate more than 5,000 pints of blood.

During these two weeks, the workers also highlighted the importance of the blood donation. All citizens including PTCL employees, their families and general members of the society has also played their part in this campaign.

Higher officials from the company were also included in a campaign for encouraging others to raise the importance and awareness about a donation of blood.

For blood donation, the PTCL Razakaars set up 100 camps across  Quetta, Sukkur, Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, and Faisalabad.

This outreach program was very successful and within two weeks the company succeeded to achieve their goal of donating 5,000 pints of Blood.

PTCL’s front line staff are the main successors behind this huge blood donation campaign. Moreover, Iftikhar Ahmed played a vital role in providing security along with PTCL. He said:

“I am performing the duty of a guard at PTCL for last three years. I really appreciate this noble cause of blood donation drive arranged by PTCL management. I donated blood considering it a good deed. Such activities should be done on regular basis.”

According to the estimation, almost 9,726 had been collected from all camps in various cities. Moreover, this campaign is on its way and performing its tasks.PTCL employee, Wajid Ali expressed his views as follows:

“I am serving as a guard at PTCL for last four years. I donated blood having a spirit of saving a life. We all shall participate in such activities and should save lives by donating blood. Inshallah if I get another chance to donate blood, I will donate again. Saving a life is one of the best deed.”

Well, it is common agreement among all donors about an occurrence of such type of events and steps should be taken to promote such events so that these events should be initialized on daily basis.

“I am serving as a driver from past 27 years. Officials of blood bank were our guests and they were here to collect blood for the needy patients. As a hospitality of the blood bank I donated blood. Besides this act will also save someone’s life which gave me spiritual satisfaction. Management should do such arrangements of helping people on regular basis.”
