Free Wi-Fi service is probably the best thing that is introduced by Punjab government for helping its user to complete their important work or any other routine task. It is even good to use when you are waiting for someone in the Public area and you are feeling bored while waiting. Obviously, it is good news for the citizens of Faisalabad.
Punjab government along with Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) announced this project a few years ago, finally, the Faisalabad citizens are going to avail it. Free Wi-Fi will be launched in following areas:
- Â Chowk Ghanta Ghar
- Children Hospital
- GC University
- City Terminal
- Railway Station
- D Ground Park
- Ghulam Muhammad Abbas Park
Almost 12 locations have been narrated for distribution of free internet across the city. First of all, you need to download Punjab Wi-Fi app from PlayStore for getting free Internet access.
Follow these steps for getting free Wi-Fi access, it is quite simple, only you need to turn on Wi-Fi from you and perform these steps:
- Scan for networks
- Find Punjab Wi-Fi
- Tap on Punjab Wi-Fi
After this, a webpage will be opened and the purpose of this webpage is to get some information from the user.
- Add your mobile phone number
- A verification code will be sent to your phone
- Enter this code on the page and it will take you to the next on
- It will ask you to enter your name and email address
After the submission of all information, you will be able to use the Internet. Whenever you turn on Wi-Fi, your phone will automatically connect to any hotspot that is located within the range. You are not required to fill form everytime you connect to the hotspot.
