The bid of Reddit to clean up its communities is now going to target those communities who have trade businesses like trading firearms and drugs.

The social sites have now updated its policies to ban those communities who are involved in trading of firearms, explosives, drugs including tobacco and alcohol, stolen goods, counterfeits, personal info as well as “physical sexual contact.”

According to the reports, the social media has banned various subreddits that are either directly involved in selling and buying these goods or they are meant to facilitate those exchanges along with r/gunsforsale, r/stealing, and r/darknetmarkets.

The social media do have a stress over that it is not responsible for the transactions of these goods. Originally, Reddit is not aimed to be used as a marketplace and users should have to keep in mind their responsibilities as well.

According to Reddit. it didn’t ban communities due to any specific action on the part of closing communities and it will not take any action against the communities whose main focus is not trading.

But, the social media has become a hurdle in an open deal of guns in the funeral of shootings. Which means that we can say the company will not be involved in any crime or tragedies that were being performed in future.
