Robot Taxi Inc, has announced they will begin testing a taxi service with self-driving cars in next year, with the aim to start a fully functional commercial taxi service in 2020.
This company is join venture between internet company DeNA and ZMP driver-less car company. It is also a part of Japanese government which force the technological inventions.
Robot Taxi also looks to help disabled peoples and tourists in Japan, company’s target is to being operational in 2020. That’s an ambitious target and it is not clear yet it will be reached.
Google is a major company involving in the research of driver-less cars, the company started tests in 2009, but Google’s car is not ready yet. These are a bold goal set by Robot Taxi.
To start driverless cars in roads will require a special system and technology should flawless. With strong government backup, Robot taxi may not face many issues but it’s not safe un-till now to put the drivers fewer cars on the road full of traffic.
Roads are becoming crowded every day and driverless cars will require special algorithms and programs to avoid any emergency condition.
