Today, it was advertised that the Russian search giant “Yandex” has introduced its smart speakers for giving tough time to its competitors such as Amazon, Google and Apple.

The company named these speakers as “Yandex Station”. It is the company’s first ever attempt to introduce a hardware device, and the company is quite successful in it.

Let’s talk about Yandex Station, which features a Russian speaking voice assistant named as “Alice” which was acquired in-house.

Alice has more than 4,000 skills like finding flights, ordering pizza, hearing workout tips and it will help you in casting a video to TV.

Back in October, the company introduced this smart assistant in its mobile app. After that, the company planned to integrate with taxi business, for this, the company merged it with Uber last year in Russia.

Yandex Station has a lot of powerful specs including two 10W drives and a 30W woofer as well as very powerful audio specs.

Moreover, it has Bluetooth capabilities and an HDMI port which will help you in streaming TV on connected displays.

Yandex Station only supports video streaming from its platforms such as KinoPoisk and other video streaming services such as Amediateks.

For now, the Yandex Station will be available only in Russia and the price tag set by the company is $160.

Therefore, Russians will be able to enjoy more accessible and regionally adapted smart speaker unlike others including Amazon and Google.

Yandex Station will be introduced this summer in the market along with the premium subscriptions of Yandex music, streaming and taxi services.
