Samsung’s best-selling handset has typically been the Galaxy A5x series model of the year, and we have no reason to doubt that will continue in 2022 with the incoming Galaxy A53 5G. We’ve already seen speculative renders of this phone, and a prototype was discovered in a benchmark database, disclosing some of its specifications.

It has now been certified by 3C, along with the charger, which is a 15W unit. Regrettably, this implies that Samsung’s best-selling device will lack an out-of-the-box fast charging experience in 2022. Perhaps next year. Hopefully next year, as nearly all of its competitors ship with faster-charging capabilities.

Model number SM-A5360 is listed for Samsung’s Galaxy A53 5G. In addition, it shows that the phone’s in-box charger, a 15W travel charger, will be included. Because of this, we don’t know exactly how much faster the phone’s battery will charge. However, like the Galaxy A52 before it, it is expected to have 25W fast charging.

A 15W charger was included in the box with last year’s Galaxy A52, A52 5G, and A52s 5G, which all enabled 25W charging. In other words, there’s no reason to believe things will be any different in 2019. At the very least, you have the option of charging more quickly, but Samsung’s decision to omit a 25W charger from the box seems petty at this point.

Previously rumored specifications include an Exynos 1200 processor, 6GB of RAM, a 120Hz AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and an in-display fingerprint reader, and a quad-camera configuration on the back of the Galaxy A53 5G.
