According to a press release from Corning, the upcoming Galaxy S23 series from Samsung will be the first to feature Gorilla Glass Victus 2. This new glass is more durable, environmentally friendly, and scratch-resistant than previous versions.
CGG Victus 2 will save phones from Drops of up to 1 meter (hip height) on rough surfaces. Not just that but it will protect the device from 2 meters (head height) on asphalt. The improved drop resistance did not come at the expense of scratch resistance.
Furthermore, GG Victus 2 is environmentally friendly because it contains an average of 22% “pre-consumer” recycled content. As a result, its environmental claims have been validated.
