Valve is working on some improvements to the Big Picture mode and some other elements of the Steam digital distribution client as reported by PCGamesN.
Steam Client Getting Improvements To Big Picture Mode & Other Areas
Yesterday, Valve had a presentation in Spain at GameBCN, a company based in Barcelona, Spain that focuses on training & mentoring for video game developers in Southern Europe. A game developer by the name of Toni DomÍnguez attended the event and shared some interesting details with the rest of the world from Valve’s presentation.
Yes, indeed. According to them, they're working on a calendar for games (to introduce scheduled updates, livestreams or special XP weekends, for a specific title), a new interface for Big Picture Mode and a better implementation for Steam Reviews.

On a related note, Valve also confirmed that they are still working on games, but no one during the event mentioned the now legendary Half-Life 3.
When the Valve presentation started, one of the first sentences was "We're also still making games". People laughed a little bit. I can't believe the meme's gone this far. Apart from that, no Half Life 3 questions/jokes.
