Today, Supercell has announced the revenue and earning of 2016. Sensor Tower, a mobile measurement firm, has shown that Supercell’s Clash Royale has earned more than $1 billion in less than one year.
In Last Year, on March 2, supercell had unveiled the game. After the strong earning of Clash Royale, Supercell’s revenue has been raised to $2.3 billion for the last year. Here is the chart that shows the simple real-time strategy has grown faster and also shows the comparison of the company’s two games.
Head of mobile insights at Sensor Tower, Randy Nelson has written that the growth rate of Clash Royale is five times as much as Clash of Clans did in the same time length.
Nelson said:
“Even considering the lack of an Android version of Clash of Clans in its first six months, the difference is staggering — and shows how far not just Supercell, but the ability of free-to-play mobile titles to generate revenue from in-app transactions, have come in four short years,”
Clash Royale has been marked as top earner throughout 2016 and defeating the Pokémon Go in the competition, which also generated the same amount in its first year after launch.
Further, he said:
“Supercell’s latest took a hit in player spending during the first two months after Niantic unleashed Pokémon Go last July, but since September, it hasn’t left the top 10 grossing iPhone apps on the U.S. App Store,”
