Japanese SSD maker CFD Gaming has released its new Gen 5 NVMe SSD gaming lineup, giving customers access to the most up-to-date technology. The drives can read up to 10 GB/s and write up to 9.5 GB/s. They also have 1500K IOPs and a 3-year warranty. With capacities of 1 TB, 2 TB, or 4 TB, these drives will impress gamers and business people.

The 2 TB drive with the id CSSD-M2M2TPG5NFZ can now be bought in Japan for 49,980 Yen, which is about $385 US. Even though this price is slightly higher than the Samsung 990 Pro, which is currently the fastest PCIe Gen 4.0 NVMe SSD, the CFD Gaming drives are well worth the money.

The drives have a high-end active cooler that keeps things cool with a sturdy heatsink and a central fan. The cooler from CFD Gaming also comes with a 20mm fan and a 45cm cable to connect to a 5V connector. If you don’t need the extra cooling, you can run the drives in passive mode as long as the PC case has enough airflow.
