Although MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 chipset was announced in November, it has yet to appear on any phone on the market. That will change on February 24 with the release of the Oppo Find X5 Pro Dimensity Edition, which will now be equipped with the Dimensity 9000 chip. Oppo will also offer a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 model, marking the first time that the same phone will be available with two high-end chips from rival manufacturers.

The Oppo Find X5 Pro Dimensity Edition will be available in China before expanding to other markets. Dimensity 9000 has a Cortex-X2 performance core with a clock speed of up to 3.05GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores with a clock speed of up to 2.85GHz, and four efficiency Cortex A510 clusters with a clock speed of 1.8GHz. ARM’s Mali-G710 handles the GPU, and the chip also supports the latest Bluetooth 5.3 protocol.

According to the teasers, Oppo’s in-house MariSilicone X NPU chip will remain exclusive to the Find X5 Pro powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
