Samsung announced the prices for the Galaxy S22 series in India yesterday. We already knew that pre-orders would specifically begin on February 23, but today we can also reveal the date of the open sale, which is usually also the shipping date.
Customers in India can expect their pre-ordered phones to arrive on March 11, or they can purchase them from retail stores, Samsung exclusive stores, the web store, and Amazon.in.
Users who choose to pre-order will receive some incentives from Samsung. Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ owners will be able to purchase the Galaxy Buds 2 for INR999 (less than $15), while Galaxy S22 Ultra owners will be able to buy the Galaxy Watch 4 for INR2,999 ($40). There are also some additional incentives for current Galaxy S and Galaxy Note owners, who can earn up to INR8,000 ($107).
The standard Samsung Galaxy S22 costs INR72,999 ($980), while the Plus costs at least INR84,999 ($1,140). Depending on the storage option, the Galaxy S22 Ultra costs INR110,999 (just shy of $1,500) or INR118,999 (just under $1,600). For the first time since Samsung began separating the chipsets across markets, Indian users will receive Snapdragon-powered variants rather than Exynos 2200 variants.
