ASUS X570 Motherboards For AMD Ryzen 3000 Series CPUs

X570 motherboard lineup from ASUS consists of 12 products featuring new X570 chipset. It is confirmed that X570 is finalized and aimed at high-end consumers market, but there will be mainstream as well as entry-level products based around B550 and A520 chipsets. It is going to be in similar fashion as it was on last years release of motherboards from ASUS.

It seems ASUS is primarily focusing on its ROG series which further splits into ROG STRIX and ROG Crosshair. ROG STRIX is more focused on professional gamers while ROG Crosshair is made for professional overclockers and high-end users. ASUS is also working on PRIME, TUF and Pro series motherboards as it is mentioned in the leak, ROG series consists mostly of X570 family motherboards. These are ASUS X570 Motherboards leaked online:

By looking at the lineup, you may note that X570 would be first ever company to feature Formula series motherboard by Ryzen CPUs. Earlier, AMD had released ROG Crosshair V Formula that was purely based around AMD 990FX chipset. ASUS also introduced ROG Crosshair VI Extreme for X370 chipset but Formula series would an impressive addition for X570 platform. It is also worth mentioning, further models of X470 chipset would be getting upgraded to X570 while may be more products add up into this list in the near future.

AMD X570 Chipset Will Have Better Support for Next-Gen Ryzen 3000 CPUs

X470 was supporting only a few features of Ryzen 2000 series processing, for example, Precision Boost Overdrive and XFR 2.0. It is sure that the new processor from AMD will be coming with many futuristic features, but the major change would be support for PCIe Gen4. As you might be aware of X570 motherboards is based on all PCIe Gen4 solution and that’s why it’s first to support new standards of PCIe.

In addition to that, the new AMD Ryzen 3000 series would not be only compatible with X570 motherboards like old times, it will also be compatible with X470 and X370 boards. The support is being added into old boards through the BIOS firmware update.

It is for sure that old boards will have support for Ryzen 3000 series after getting BIOS update, but they will be missing a lot of features compared to X570 lineup of motherboards.
