It is reported that Twitter has suspended 70 million accounts back in May and June, the company proclaimed that all are fake users.

According to a tweet from the Associated Press, in the last quarter of 2017, the social media has already suspended 58 million accounts.

Associated Press reports that all fake users have been originated in Twitter’s “firehose” stream, that has the ability to release news in real time for subscribers.

In the past, the company has convinced users that the account suspension was basically targeted on bots instead of users that have been supporting traditional politics.

Furthermore, the company has claimed that it has been cleaning up its network to allow more real-time interaction between users and not to silence any legitimate voices.
