Uber Allegedly Hacked! Multiple Users Tweeting About Unjust Charges Made On Uber Account

Despite company’s strong security claims, Uber has faced many hacks. The customers took over Twitter for expressing their concern over Uber account hack and misuse of their credit card details stored in Uber Application.

Update 7:54 AM: Recently Uber UAE replied to a customer saying that there’s been no hack in their systems.

The company has not provided any official statement over the hack but users are losing their calm over this hacking issue. Many consumers are asking other’s to remove their credit card information from Uber app. Twitter is being used to contact their support and make them aware of the issue. Users are reporting that they are being charged against their credit cards for the services they never used.

Another user Marissa Villa was charged $400 against her Uber account for services she never used. On trying to delete her account Uber Support prompted to pay her outstanding balance first. She is not the only one facing the issue you can visit Uber Hack on Twitter to find more complaints.

How to Be Safe While Using Uber?

You are advised to remove Credit Card or Debit Card information if you’ve entered in Uber app before any incident happens with you too. Well, if Uber has indeed suffered a security break then it surely the only option left for you.
