The Vivo X90 Pro series is set to be released next week, and we have a new leak from popular leakster Ice Universe. According to the leakster, the regular version Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip inside the Vivo X90 Pro+ achieved 5100 multi-core scores on Geekbench 5, with the primary core clocking at 3.2 GHz.

Surprisingly, the Samsung S23 Series, which will allegedly be an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 clocking at 3.36GHz, received only 4597 Multicore scores. There’s a massive difference in benchmark scores of Samsung’s ultimate flagship S23 Ultra and vivo’s X90 Pro+.

As previously reported, the launch of the vivo X90 series is imminent, and everything will become clear with the release of the premium X90 Pro+.

According to Qualcomm, the 8 Gen 2 CPU is 35% faster than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 counterpart, and the GPU is 25% faster. Given the CPU and GPU overclocking, these figures are likely to be even higher in real-world use.

The new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is also said to be more power efficient than its predecessor, implying that phones equipped with it will have longer battery life.
