Peoples are calling out to delete Facebook after a leak of 50million users data. A WhatsApp co-founder Brain Acton told everyone to remove social networking account from their digital life. It’s worth noting that Acton sold his company for $19 billion to Facebook back in 2014. (the Same week I spent $2 on WhatsApp renewal, it becomes free for everyone).

The trend #deleteFacebook movement is the result of massive data breach scandal which involves voter-profiling company Cambridge Analytica who gathered information of 50 million Facebook users inappropriately.

Pressure on Facebook is increasing, and several government authorities are taking steps to find the truth. Facebook is also taking financial downfall and lost more than $60 billion market value.

Coming back to Acton, after selling WhatsApp to Facebook, he has been found actively supporting privacy-focused services. Just recently, he announced his $50 million investment in Signal and joined Signal Foundation as well.

It’s interesting to note that after asking people to delete Facebook via Twitter, Acton made the same call on Facebook as well
