From December 31, 2019, the smartphone featuring Windows Operating System will not be able to install WhatsApp. But, if the instant messaging app is already installed on them, then it probably, some functions will stop working, thus, makes the smartphone virtually obsolete.

In a blog post, WhatsApp stated that

“They will no longer be able to use WhatsApp on all versions of the Windows Phone operating system as of December 31. As we no longer develop their applications for these systems, hence, some functions will no longer work at any time”

Moreover, smartphones with Android version 2.3.7 and iPhones with iOS7 will not support WhatsApp. Let us keep it simple, WhatsApp will no longer support the smartphones having operating systems listed below.
