This is huge bug bounty which is offered by new security firm Zerodium, a startup for infamous French based Security firm “VUPEN”, they are well-known for buying and selling zero-day vulnerabilities.

Zerodium, which claims to be “the premium zero-day acquisition platform,” announced a total $3 Million reward for finding a vulnerability and exploiting iOS also for jailbreaks.

They placed a challenge for hackers, researchers and bug hunters to discover vulnerability, exploits and flaws in Apple’s latest iOS 9 that must allow a hacker to remotely compromise a non-jailbroken iOS device by:

  • A web page
  • In-app browsing action, or text message or MMS (Multi-Media Messages)

“The whole exploitation [or] jailbreak process should be achievable remotely, silently, reliably, and without requiring any user interaction except visiting a webpage or reading an SMS [or] MMS,” Zerodium says in a blog post.

The vulnerabilities in Airdrop, NFC, Bluetooth or baseband will not be qualified for a reward.

The zero-day finding firm also offering Million dollars bounty for finding untethered jailbreak for iOS 9 which much work on:

The bug bounty program is valid and open until October 31st, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. EDT, and or until the firm ends up paying the total promised payout of $3 Million to researchers and developers.
